Charlotte is backing the Norwich Western Link to help decrease traffic, pollution, and congestion on our residential roads.
The delivery of the NWL improve travel times to the southern part of the city and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The government has secured the necessary £213 million investment for this essential road project which the locals have been in support of. This funding will finally allow the construction of this much-needed road loop around the city, stimulating economic growth and enhancing connectivity within the community and beyond.
Before construction can begin, the council must obtain approval from its planning committee and complete other legal procedures. Charlotte has cosigned a letter to Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs along with Norfolk MP’s following concerns regarding a report from Natural England. Charlotte will work with the Norfolk County Council to ensure the swift delivery of this important project.
